This Work began on May 9th, 1992 with the
creation of the first violin class. The initial group
was named Symphonic Orchestra - Embryo - of Volta
Redonda since it would be the orchestral group
in the future.
The Work developed in the following ways:
- 1992 - 1st Violin class
- 1993 - 2nd Violin class
- 1993 - 1st Viola class
- 1994 - 1st Cello class
In 1995 teacher Nicolau Martins de
Oliveira created the VOLTA REDONDA STRING
ORCHESTRA that performed for the first time on
July, 16th of the same year, as a gift
to the 41st Anniversary of
Volta Redonda.

- Music School of Federal University of Rio de
Janeiro - UFRJ (RJ)
- Municipal Theater of Niterói (RJ)
- Carlos Gomes Theater - Rio de Janeiro (RJ)
- several cities in the neighborhood
- several cities on its first tour to South Brazil
- several recordings for regional TVs and TV in Rio de
Janeiro City
